Day of Giving 2024
August 13, 2024 is the annual Erie Gives Day of Giving. Please remember to donate to your non-profit of choice. There are many organizations in the area doing great things for our community. Fairview Fire & Rescue is one of the organizations that dedicates time and effort to providing quality emergency services to our communities protecting life and property.
We utilize your generous donations to provide training, equipment, and apparatus to further this goal. For those in the community who are not aware, we are a volunteer organization that operates on the donations provided by the members of our community, and we too are affected by the costs of goods and services.
One example of the effects of the price increases impact us can been seen in the rescue apparatus we’ve purchased, which is expected to arrive in about nine months. Four years ago, the equipment would have cost around $700,000. Today it’s nearly $1,000,000. We simply ask that people contribute what they can afford, any amount you can offer is greatly appreciated.
